On 24th April, Japan Creative Centre held a one of a kind opening event for an accomplished Japanese singer, songwriter, and sites painter, Rie fu. Her exhibition titled, “Growing Singapore: Construction Site Paintings” is a collection of her journey throughout her travels.
From the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and to Singapore this multi talented Japanese artist amazed her fans with her artistry. With her brush, Rie fu captured beauty in what may seem peculiar to some and saw through the efforts of construction laborers and their purpose of developing infrastructure.
Some of her collections included “The 100 Construction Sites Project” and “Growing East Tokyo”. The refreshing Japanese artist even gave an exclusive performance that enchanted the audience. During Rie fu’s acoustic performance at JCC, she included her hit songs from popular Japanese animes such as, “Gundam Seed Destiny” and “Bleach”.
As her fans sang with her, Rie fu was amazed at how her audience from all walks of life knew each and every lyric; music truly is a universal language. As a special treat for her audience, Rie fu created a stunning video featuring the four cultures in Singapore.
In the video, she visits communities representing each culture and showcased their charms. As the event came to an end, Rie fu had an intimate session with her fans – a night they would never forget. Click To View Video
